Fdisk: I need some info on exactly how to use it.

Ok, this may seem to be a very simple question for many, but for me it isn't (or I wouldn't be asking it). I want to format and partition my hard drive (actually 2 drives in raid 0). After I set up the bios for raid I assume I need to format the "drive" and then I want to partition it into 2 or 3 partitions. I've not used fdisk before to do this but need to this time. Can someone here be kind enough to give me step by step instructions on using fdisk to format and partition my "drive" into 3 partitions.
