The U.S. government's declaration on Sunday that the swine flu is a public health emergency freed the FDA to take such action, the agency said in a statement.

Public health emergency? Yeah? Why? Because it killed a few people down in mexico?

WTH? Are we gonna do about the common flu killing 50000 americans every year? sheesh

I think this shit is getting over used and old. Oh well. We can waste a few more million I guess.

The reason there is a huff is because A.) Americans are germaphobic and B.) A few of the deaths were young people.

We are waiting for a good pandemic and out media loves a good story. All agencies need to look like they are doing something otherwise they miss their limelight.

This may or may not be our nasty flu that we are waiting for. Regardless, I'm not changing anything or doing anything different.

I am firm believer that our species requires events like these to continue to thrive. Our immune system craves them.

If only it would knock out a few of those who are featured in magazines and tabloids and judges on pageant shows - the world just might be a better [and a bit smarter] place to live in.. :)
