I've gotta say, when TV stations went away from censors and time delays, they were flirting with disaster. $550k is a pretty small reminder for a multi-billion dollar company.

And I've gotta say, when society went the way of P.C. and lack of common sense, we were ALL flirting with disaster.

Pretty sure that in the last 40-50 years, our society has become drastically more open and free with sexuality... I love it how people like you pass stuff like this off as something terrible and so completely absurd. 50 years ago, somebody flashing their leg would be considered equally as offensive, jesus.

You can say what you want about openness and the evolution of societal beliefs, but most parents still feel today that they do not want their children exposed to nudity.

Janet Jackson's breast was aired on a program thats ratings did not allow frontal nudity. I'm all for open discussion, but I can't see how this is controversial at all.

it wasn't really nudity, she had a big star covering up the nipple. or at least so it seemed...

Except you could see the nipple through the shield. Almost like you were supposed to see it...

Step away from the big screen HDTV bro....

Are they talking about replays of the incident?
For god sakes it happened in a split second! Do they really think the people controlling the broadcast could react that fast? At least the guys turned off the lights as soon as they realized what had happened.
:thumbsdown:FCC
