Just curious, are you one of the people pissed at Bush for not telling everyone about a possible 9/11 attack? And now when they do tell us all the little hints and tips that they hear, they're trying to instill fear?

You know I'm going to change my opinion on this now and say that this is totally f**king ridiculous. The new official release is possible attacks against rail systems although they have nothing confirmed or specific. It seems to me that basically we're getting warnings on every single possible vulnerable part of our society. Apartments, bridges, water, land marks, rail systems. What's the fuggin point now?

The fugging point is to see if people are happy now. Everyone's busy screaming about how the administration sat on 9/11, how they knew it was gonna happen and did nothing, didnt inform anyone. I think what labang is saying is that the terrorist can succeed by simply making Americans afraid to go outside. I don't think the U.S. government is trying to instill fear in the populace with these warnings. It is more the media than anything else.

We live in a free country. There is no way to 100% stop terrorist attacks in this country without infringing on our liberties. So don't be afraid of some scuba diving terrorists. We've got a president in the office that is not afraid to go against world favor and punch these bastards where it hurts.

Well not everyone. A lot of us (in fact 70% on a cnn poll though that this pre 911 stuff was politically motivated) think that wasting too much time on pre 911 is just stupid. Unless there was gross neglience people should stfu with it and move on!

But this stuff is silly. The administration is crying wolf big time.

I'm wondering if there weren't these warning previously before Sept 11th, and this is the only time the media is picking up every one.

I can't quite see how the suicide scuba diver would be a real threat to the populous, maybe a potential risk to naval vessles, though I don't really know.

Because SCUBA diving involves getting in water. The arab terrorist's natural aversion to water and bathing will make this type of attack not likely.
