FB question - is the box for comments up a 1/2 inch too high on every PC in the world

On my laptop, on FaceBook, the little box for comments is ALWAYS up a 1/2 inch too high and blocks comments. I assuem that is because I am always runnign the latest browser or something a little different. But, I have been asking a few friends and they report the same problem.
Why does it happen?
Is there a simple fix (other than waiting for Google's rival site)?
