Those people moved on to some other QB of a different team that sucks despite having a good QB.

If he had 'so much' left in the tank the last couple years, he shouldn't have played half the time like the spastic disinterested impatient inconsistent epileptic quarterback that he did, so many other people like myself wouldn't have been saying he would be better off retired.

I give him credit, he's been awesome lately, true Favre greatness, so let's hope this geriatric can keep it up and continue to build on his remarkable legacy.

I'll admit that I've said this over the last couple seasons. I guess I was wrong.

I'd like to see him do well the rest of this season though. It'd be fitting for him to go out on top and, given a choice, I'd much rather see Green Bay win the SuperBowl this year than the Patriots.

Favre is another pocket QB. He doesn't scramble much anymore and when his line is overpowered by defense or when his WR's are covered, he rushes things and gets picked off.

I don't blame him for 100% of his statistics. He's got a rocket arm....just lacks mobility and accuracy when he's rushed.

Yeah I read about his rebirth, blah blah. And I seem to read in every one of these new-Favre articles that he's been studying films more. So, naturally, that makes me think he should have been doing that in the first place, but oh well....

it maybe a little early to start talking packers in the Superbowl
superbowl for the packers? give it about 4 more games before we call them a superbowl contender for sure
are the packers a contender as a playoff team? for sure, but I gave them a 40 to 50 percent chance of getting a wild card spot before the season started

Me too.

Just because the other guys on the team decided they can finally catch a ball doesn't mean he is still the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Well, the Packers are 4-0 so far this season. Favre is the only consecutive three-time AP MVP (1995-97) in NFL history and has led the Packers to two Super Bowls: a victory against the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XXXI and a loss to the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XXXII. Favre has played 17 seasons in the NFL and has started every game since his first start for the Packers in 1992. His records include: most career NFL touchdown passes (422), most consecutive starts among NFL quarterbacks (241, 261 total starts including playoffs), most career pass completions (5,133), and most career pass attempts (8,393). He is second to Dan Marino (61,631) in career passing yards (58,705). With 151 career victories, Favre is the all-time winningest QB in NFL history.

I'd say that makes him something special.

Agreed. It is fun to entertain the thought though. I'd much rather see them than the Cowboys. ;)

Fixed for you

Who cares if he is past his prime? He's still in the top 5 QBs right now, in this "old age" of his. And still probably has the best 2 minute drill in the league.

He should have retired. The only reason why he's doing moderately well this season is because him and Bonds have been shooting each other in the butt.

Also, my sentiments that he should retire referred to him wanting to win big again, and the long-term future of developing Aaron Rodgers, rather than his own ability.

It will be interesting to see if he keeps it up all season, considering his age and the fact that defenses are gunning for him, as the Packers have 0 running game.

btw what does "eat crow" actually mean? I've never heard that phrase outside of internet forums, and it never made much sense to me.

It's actually a pretty old saying. It means eat your words and leave a nasty taste in your mouth.

I like watching him throw - he always looks like he REALLY hates that ball.

Wow, I needed a good laugh. Saying Farve's arm is going to fall off is like saying Ron Jeremy's d1ck is going to fall off from too much screwin. Get a clue, Farve has one of, if not the strongest, arms in the league. I wouldn't worry too much about his arm condition. lol
