Just watched it, was fucking lame. As for the best, well Terra Nova was sweet in it's day. The first Dawn of War game has a badass intro.

Woo! Another person that played Terra Nova. That game rocked. So that makes...2 of us now that played it.



So far ahead of it's time...I held out desperately for a sequel. No luck

I absolutely loved Terra Nova, I still have it lying around here somewhere.

HL1 was so much more stunning. Remember the environment it appeared in. Nobody had made an FPS with a real story before that.

Are you kidding? You PLAYED the intro, blew up a space station, heard Dan Owsen's voice, got an awesome retelling of the past games with excellent artwork explaining what was going on since, etc. Samus' animated face and helmet behind the text was bad-ass enough, but with Koji Kondo's music it created one of the best story-telling atmospheres of any game prior and it totally amped you up for the game.

Well geez I'm glad *somebody* beat me to it after 80 replies. Chrono Cross has the most epic opening of any game I've seen, on top of being one of the best games for the PS1. Even if you don't like RPGs it's hard to not appreciate the music and CGI.

I wish they'd have made a sequel to that, or at least made the game engine a bit more accessible and open.
