I bought HL1 off of Steam back when it was a $1 deal. I could not sit through the intro sequence. I do remember how awesome it was when my brother got the game when it originally came out but man, it doesn't age well because the novelty factor has worn off.

yep. and you got to do stuff. plus story went on at the same time..but you were also part of it.

it was innovative for it's day. FF8 was easily the worst of the series. set up the "play and pause" until next overdrawn sequence. Good looking models and such, but horrible story.

the series, I'd say, lost it's steam after vii. I really liked ix, b/c it was an homage to what ff used to be, but it still continued the whole teen-emo main character trope that ffviii began, and the series now depends on. fuck that.

Just watched it, was fucking lame. As for the best, well Terra Nova was sweet in it's day. The first Dawn of War game has a badass intro.

Woo! Another person that played Terra Nova. That game rocked. So that makes...2 of us now that played it.

:)

So far ahead of it's time...I held out desperately for a sequel. No luck :(

don't remember many in all honesty, but Uncharted all around probably has the best cut scenes i've ever seen because they are so realistic in their movements and animation (since they mo-capped) and you actually can feel the chemistry between the characters.

Possibly my favorite game of all time. I have beat it in less than 1 hour flat. But the intro is meh. Story was cool, intro, meh.

Fallout 1... Love the intro song and the juxtaposition with the total destruction of civilization as we know it.

Also thought WoW's original intro movie was pretty cool.

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night for the ringlish, great quotes (What is a man? A miserable pile of secrets), and starting the cliche of having all of your powers at the start of the game and getting losing them soon after.
