I cant get that great marinade..

I usually out Worshensire sauce, pepper, salt, soy sauce, SPIKE! Seasoning, olive oil, steak sauce....what else do you reccomend?

Also, High heat or low heat (charcoal grill)

and is it true you only want to flip the meat once on each side?

Don't matter....I always flip more than once, but not too often.

I also really like a steak maranaded in Italian salad dressing overnight......Mmmmmmm

id only flip once, and use high heat for the best sear and even cooking.

low heat if youre smoking a roast or some such, but for steaks id always go high.

i skip on steak sauce, even in a marinade. some worcestershire, red wine, cayenne and thyme is good.

I like to soak a big tri tip in Italian dressing overnight. My favorite way to cook the tri tip is putting dampened mesquite chips on the coals, then letting it smoke the meat with the lid on. Occasionally opening it to let the coals come back up, then grill a bit, then close the lid. It has a very nice smokey taste to it. 😀
