I have a horrible voice, but get a few drinks in me, and I'll gladly butcher any song in front of strangers. :D My current song of choice is Bohemian Rhapsody. My g/f and I did our, uh, rendition of this much to the amusement of those around us. We also had a blast singing Shaggy's "It wasn't me", but the rap part was a bit too fast for me to keep up with.

Do you have any songs that are just great to sing karaoke to (preferably while drunk, as opposed to songs from those of you aspiring to be real singers).

I don't sing unless strict guidelines are sufficiently met...

1. None are around
2. In my car with radio turned so loud I can't hear myself
3. It's dark
4. Or scrap all of the above if I am boozed up enough.

Karaoke can be fun. My female friend can sing like a siren. Sure, if you get someone up there who is acting completely stupid, then its a waste of time. However, it can be entertaining.

I've never done the karaoke thing but I can go word for word with just about any Linkin Park song... though my voice is not quite like Chester's. :)

I can rap a little too... not bad for a white boy from central PA.

I'm just curious what you mean by acting completely stupid? I know I can't sing, but I do make a decent attempt to sing while up there. I act 'stupid' in the sense that I'll make my attempt to sing the high notes in a song, such as Bohemian Rhapsody ("Galileo!") I won't purposely sing off-key though, but it might end up that way.

I have a buddy who does a hilarious rendition of "it's raining men" every week when hammered... he basically jumps all over the place, goes on bar tables, falls over, etc. and gets mad women for it... You'd have to see it to understand... Think a hammered Chris Farley...

My personal favorites to sing:
Hall & Oates - Maneater
Rob Zombie - Dragula
Dio - Holy Diver / Rainbow In The Dark (hilarious)
Danzig - Mother
Rollins Band - Liar
Anything by the Talking Heads
Police - Message in a Bottle / Walking on the moon

Impossible for me to answer because in order for me to want to sing I would have to be so fvcked up I would be unconcious.

It's the end of the world as we know it (and I feel fine) - R.E.M.

I don't even need the screen :)

At the company christmas party my boss and someone else did a duet of "I've got you babe" - at the end they started fighting! IT WAS AWESOME!

You have to be a girl to karaoke to that song.
Thao is a Vietnamese girl name.

Is there any additional significance to this song that I'm missing, because one Asian girl did sing this while we were there.

If you listen to the words, it means that the 2 is gonna have sex tonight.
She even sing about "be a little wiser, put it on".
You know sex, 2 become 1.
I guess its a signifigant thing for a girl.
For a guy, he just want to fvck....so I can't imagine a guy karaoking that song.
