The original version is good, but the live version off of HTWWW is even better.

i love the intros on the testament best-of album (the only testament album i have). they are mostly awesome, but as soon as the singer starts his stuff most songs get ARGH!!!!

MetallicA - Master of Puppets... gets me charged up every time...

One, Nothing Else Matters, and Fade To Black have outstandingly creative intros... the full NEM intro is great to play on the guitar if you want to impress the ladies. :)

Defenitely a good one. Most Metallica songs are though.

Two others that are fresh in my memory are:

Tool- Third Eye (although longer than 30 seconds..)
Soundgarden- Searching With My Good Eye Closed (love this one :) )
