any tool or a perfect circle song...

most metallica songs have decent intros but then they just fvck it up after about a minute.
 
As far as whole opening songs go...

Cradle of Filth - A Bruise Upon the Silent Moon

off their new Damnation and a Day is easily the best intro to any cd ever.

Aside from that, too many to choose intros to just one song.

Yeah most metallica song openings are good... kinda throws you off for a minute then goes into metal.. kinda like what Hadyn did with his composed pieces.

I really dig Tool openings and Black Label Society.. (even though they barely sing... its almost all instrumental 😀 )
