Czar....... the guy that does Ricky Martin is Kris Kittan (sp?) and I think the Sean Connery guy is Daryl Hammond.

Cheers,

From watching these guys on talk shows, I think you get a good look at a semi-unscrpted performance.

Dana Carvey is pure genius in this role. Farley was good too, and so is Murphy, Sandler, Belushi, Murry, Hartman, and all the classics were great. But for off the top of the head, laugh your a$$ off stuff, Carvey can make your ribs hurt!

Myers, Nealon, McDonald, Hartman are/were all excellent. Darrell Hammond is coming on strong. His Clinton, Koppel, and especially Connery are dead on. Ferrel's GW hunting with Dad Dana Carvey was beautiful.

I'd have to say Phil Hartman was the funniest man to ever be on SNL, IMO. Some other notables are Sandler, Norm McDonald and Chris Farley.

I'll prove that although I look young, I'm just back-dated. My favorite SNL alumni runs a 3 way tie among Dan Akroid (sp?), Chevy Chase, and John Belushi.

"Good evening, I'm Chevy Chase and you're not." <-- My favorite SNL line.
Land Shark was the best bit IMHO.

EDIT: I had the wrong Belushi brother in the original post.

Chris Farely.... why'd he have to leave :(

While I don't know if she'll be remembered in 30 years, my female vote goes to Cheri Oteri :)

Phil Hartman... I still miss him as Lionel Hutz on the Simpsons (I know he does other voices too)... and he was "NewsRadio".

Phil Hartman was incredible (The Bill Clinton jogging into McDonalds skit is a classic). Will Ferrell did a really good job of impersonating GW on those debate sketches.

Steve Martin was never a cast member of SNL. He guess hosted several times, but was never a cast member.

All of the older performers were neck and neck, Dan Akroyd, Steve Martin, Eddie Murphy, Bill Murray, they all were just as great as the next. The early 90's is more clear cut, you got Chris Farley, definitly classic. Mike Meyers, also great. And Phil Hartman was a genious. But if I had to pick *my* favorite, it'd have to be Farley :)
