This is the theme to Garry's Show,
The theme to Garry's show.
Garry called me up and asked if I would right his theme song.
I'm almost halfway finished,
How do you like it so far,
How do you like the theme to Garry's Show.

This is the theme to Garry's Show,
The opening theme to Garry's show.
This is the music that you hear as you watch the credits.
We're almost to the part of where I start to whistle.
Then we'll watch "It's Garry Shandling's Show".

This was the theme to Garry Shandling's show.

Wonder years was one of my favs to sing along to! Of course The Dukes of Hazard, MASH, Giligans Island, The Andy Grifith Show (I know you whistled along too), Beverly Hillbillies and The Fresh Prince of Belair were also all themes I liked a lot, but in the end there can be only one.

Andy Griffith, Beverly Hillbillies, and WKRP.

I know they are all ancient, but I don't watch TV anymore, so this is what I got.

Takes everything you've got;
Taking a break from all your worries

Wouldn't you like to get away?

All those night when you've got no lights,
The check is in the mail;
And your little angel
Hung the cat up by it's tail;
And your third fiance didn't show;

Sometimes you want to go
Where everybody knows your name,
And they're always glad you came;
You want to be where you can see,
Our troubles are all the same;
You want to be where everybody knows your name.

Roll out of bed, Mr. Coffee's dead;
The morning's looking bright;
And your shrink ran off to Europe,
And didn't even write;
And your husband wants to be a girl;

Be glad there's one place in the world
Where everybody knows your name,
And they're always glad you came;
You want to go where people know,
People are all the same;
You want to go where everybody knows your name.

Where everybody knows your name,
And they're always glad you came;
Where everybody knows your name,
And they're always glad you came...

While I don't necessarily get 'excited'.. it's a calming, catchy jingle that I'll never get tired of hearing.

Dharma & Greg; great, chorused, clean guitar-like sound

Taxi; beautiful, creamy keys and great progression

Greatest American Hero, to a degree, the rest not even close.

I think on the fact that The Wonder Years had a redone Beatles song pretty much gives it to them.

And it wasn't a sitcom but it was funny quite often, I always enjoyed the Firefly theme.

I'm glad someone said it! I was reading through this thread, and was going to say it if no one else did. That song was a huge hit on the radio in 1981 or 82. Not many sitcom themes are.

Sitcom is called "SITCOM" because it's "sit...." and then "com..!" as in sit comedy! OHHHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I always thought of it as just a real word. I never knew it was short for sit comedy. holy shiet man.
I'm being serious here too.
