Fav song : Nas - Last Real N!gga Out The Bridge (Remix of Last Real N!gga Alive)

Featured on the Carry The Cross Chapter 2: The Rebirth Mixtape

Wow. Perfect song. Perfect beat. Perfect lyrics.

The original Last Real N!gga Alive beat sucked.

2nd Fav: Nas - The World Is Yours [Illmatic]

------------LYRICS (LAST REAL N!GGA OUT THE BRIDGE)--------------

Chorus 2X]
Lord have mercy, Jesus Christ
He's just nice, he just slice like a ginsu
Look at the life that I been through
I'm the last real n!gga alive, that's official

[Nas]
Y'all don't know about my Biggie wars
Who you thought 'Kick In The Door' was for?
But that's my heart, y'all still trippin of this Jigga sh!t
Real n!ggas listen up and I'mma tell you how the whole thing start
Off top I brung Queens up from hard times
Rockin at the Fever, streets was all mine
It was my version of the blues, droppin our schools
The crack epidemic had rap representin new rules
So I, got in em shoes, tried em wore them
Wasn't a perfect fit, so I couldn't sport em
Young murderers ride, I knew all them
Jungle got shot, Will died, we was warring
I wrote it in my album
I was 18 when Lake seen the Island
And Lord held me down and
My surroundings started changing
I had a baby, I was making my rounds with AZ
N!ggas started noticing my flow and was open when
The Golden Child closed em in with more style than them older men
Puff tried to start a label, Prince Rakeem had formed Wu-Tang
Snoop and Dre had a new thang
So Puff drove his new Range through Queensbridge Projects
He let me drive it, before Ready to Die hit
BIG and I hit blunts performing at the Arc
Next thing you knew, BIG blew and all the balling starts
He had Kim and his crew, I found Fox, only n!ggas in New York with number
one charts
BIG was ahead of his time, him and Raekwon my n!ggas
But dig it, they couldn't get along
That's when Ghostface said it on the Purple tape
Bad Boy biting Nas album come awake
BIG told me Rae was stealing my slang
And Rae told me out in Shaolin BIG would do the same thing
But I borrowed from both them n!ggas
Jigga started to flow like us, but hit with 'Ain't No N!ggas'
Had much Versace swagger
BIG admired the Brooklyn knight and it took him in as Iceberg the rapper
Today don't know nothing, about this bullsh!t
There's more sh!t than wanting to be this King of New York sh!t

[Chorus 2x]

[Nas]
Rap became a version of Malcom and Martin
Rest In Peace Will, Queensbridge live on
There's some ghetto secrets I can't rhyme in this song
There's some missing pieces I had to leave out
I had lot trust for Steve Stoute
At some point till I got to know him
We old friends, but what's loyal?
Puff soaked Interscope offices
With champagne bottles on Steve, and Steve thought the drama is on me
Cause previously it would have been, against whoever
Friends forever
However, I learn, with some n!ggas it's all business
But I'm a street dude with morals
To diss n!ggas with Jigga too much, he used to say Jay wanted my spot
I laughed, stayed home, never hung a lot
A quiet man who used to be alone planning
Baby moms thought I was too quiet, couldn't stand it
She hit the streets, later on she hittin the sheets
With a rapper who wanted me on his songs, thinking he strong
I taught her how to watch for cars that might follow
Tauht her street sh!t that I know
Her weakness was shine yo
But that's her, I ain't mad baby, it made me stronger
Now I get my paper longer
Illmatic I was boss
It Was Written I flossed
One of the most creative LPs ever to hit stores
In the Firm I learned I am Nastradamus
QB's Finest, Oochie Wally, faced more problems
I gave it all up so I can chill at home with mama
She was getting old and sick so I stayed beside her
We had the best times, she asked would I make more songs
I told her not till I see her health get more strong
In the middle of that, Jay tried to sneak attack
Assasinate my character, degrade my hood
Cause in order for him to be the Don, Nas had to go
The Gam-B-I-N-O rules I understood
What you want, see, I already had
The Gift and The Curse? Fvck that sh!t, the first shall be last
I'm the man's man, a rapper's rapper
G-O-D S-O-N, they'll be none after
I was Scarface, Jay was Manolo
It hurt me when I had to kill him and his whole squad for dolo (for dolo
echoes)

[Outro]
Uh, Uh, Uh

[Chorus 2X]

----------------LYRICS [THE WORLD IS YOURS]-------------------
It's yours!" --> T La Rock

Chorus: Nas, Pete Rock

[PR] Whose world is this?
[Nas] The world is yours, the world is yours
[PR] It's mine, it's mine, it's mine
Whose world is this? "It's yours!"
It's mine, it's mine, it's mine
Whose world is this?
[Nas] The world is yours, the world is yours
[PR] It's mine, it's mine, it's mine
Whose world is this?

I sip the Dom P, watchin Gandhi til I'm charged
Then writin in my book of rhymes, all the words pass the margin
To hold the mic I'm throbbin, mechanical movement
Understandable smooth sh!t that murderers move wit
The thief's theme, play me at night, they won't act right
The fiend of hip-hop has got me stuck like a crack pipe
The mind activation, react like I'm facin time like
Perry Mason with pens I'm embracin
Wipe the sweat off my dome, spit the phlegm on the streets
Suede Timb's on my feets, makes my cypher, complete
Whether crusin in a six-cab, or Montero Jeep
I can't call it, the beats make me fallin asleep
I keep fallin, but never fallin six feet deep
I'm out for presidents to represent me (Say what?)
I'm out for presidents to represent me (Say what?)
I'm out for dead presidents to represent me

Chorus: Nas, Pete Rock

[PR] Whose world is this?
[Nas] The world is yours, the world is yours
[PR] It's mine, it's mine, it's mine
[PR] Whose world is this?
[Nas] The world is yours, the world is yours
[PR] It's mine, it's mine, it's mine
Whose world is this? "It's yours!"
It's mine, it's mine, it's mine
Whose world is this?
[Nas] The world is yours, the world is yours
[PR] It's mine, it's mine, it's mine
Whose world is this?

To my man Ill Will, God bless your life "It's yours!"
To my peoples throughout Queens, God bless your life
I trip we box up crazy bitches aimin guns in all my baby pictures
Beef with housin police, release scriptures that's maybe Hitler's
Yet I'm the mild, money gettin style, rollin foul
The versatile, honey stickin wild, golden child
Dwellin in the Rotten Apple, you get tackled
Or caught by the devil's lasso, sh!t is a hassle
There's no days, for broke days, we sell it, smoke pays
While all the old folks pray, to Je-sus' soakin they sins in trays
of holy water, odds against Nas are slaughter
Thinkin a word best describin my life, to name my daughter
My strength, my son, the star, will be my resurrection
Born in correction all the wrong sh!t I did, he'll lead a right direction
How ya livin large, a broker charge, cards are mediocre
You flippin coke or playin spit spades in strip poker

"It's yours!"

Chorus: Nas, Pete Rock

[PR] It's mine, it's mine, it's mine
[PR] Whose world is this?
[Nas] The world is yours, the world is yours
[PR] It's mine, it's mine, it's mine
Whose world is this? "It's yours!"
It's mine, it's mine, it's mine
Whose world is this?
[Nas] Yo, the world is yours, the world is yours
[PR] It's mine, it's mine, it's mine
Whose world is this? "It's yours!"
[PR] Break it down

*Pete Rock cuts and scratches "It's yours!"*

I'm the young city bandit, hold myself down singlehanded
For murder raps, I kick my thoughts alone, get remanded
Born alone, die alone, no crew to keep my crown or throne
I'm deep by sound alone, caved inside in a thousand miles from home
I need a new n!gga, for this black cloud to follow
Cause while it's over me it's too dark to see tomorrow
Trying to maintain, I flip, fill the clip to the tip
Picturin my peeps, now the income make my heartbeat skip
And I'm amped up, they locked the champ up, even my brain's in handcuffs
Headed for Indiana stabbin women like the Phantom
The crew is lampin big Willie style
Check the chip toothed smile, plus I profile wild
Stash through the flock wools, burnin dollars to light my stove
Walk the blocks wit a bop, checkin Danes plus the games
people play, bust the problems of the world today

"It's yours!"

Chorus: Nas, Pete Rock

[PR] It's mine, it's mine, it's mine
[PR] Whose world is this?
[Nas] The world is yours, the world is yours
[PR] It's mine, it's mine, it's mine
Whose world is this? "It's yours!"
It's mine, it's mine, it's mine
Whose world is this?
[Nas] Yeah... the world is yours, the world is yours
[PR] It's mine, it's mine, it's mine
Whose world is this? "It's yours!"
Break it down

Yea aight?
To everybody in Queens, the foundation "It's yours!"
The world is yours
To everybody uptown, yo, the world is yours "It's yours!"
The world is yours
To everybody in Brooklyn
Y'all know the world is yours "It's yours!"
The world is yours
Everbody in Mount Vernon, the world is yours "It's yours!"
Long Island, the world is yours "It's yours!"
Staten Island, yea the world is yours "It's yours!"
South Bronx, the world is yours "It's yours!"
Aight

I love all of Em's music, but if I had to pick a single song from other rappers, I really think that I'd choose Big feat Bone Thugs-Notorious Thugs. It's such a laid back track with a beat that just grabs me.

BIG's verse is amazing, but after that I have to change songs.

i know. i tried to keep it to one favorite song per artist, and i felt bad that i left common out. that is a good song, and if i had to add a solo common song, id have to go with 'i used to love h.e.r.' off resurrection.

Well since you have a song for every artist I'll do that too..

Grandmaster Flash - The Message
Big L - Fed Up With The Bullsh!t, Street Struck
Tupac - Trapped, Dear Mama
Fugees - Ready or Not
Jay-Z - Dead Presidents
Common - I used to love HER
Immortal Technique - Dance with the Devil
Killah Priest - B.I.B.L.E.
Mobb Deep - Shook Ones
Jeru The Damaja - Brooklyn Took It
Ras Kass - Nature of the Threat
Canibus - No Return, 100 Bars, Bis Vs Rip
Wu Tang - CREAM
Slick Rick - The Rulers Back
ATCQ - Can I Kick It

And the rapper with the most classic songs in my opinion...

Nas...

- The Genesis
- New York State of Mind
- Life's A B!tch
- The World Is Yours
- Halftime
- Memory Lane
- One Love
- One Time 4 Your Mind
- Represent
- It Ain't Hard to Tell
- One Mic
- Shootouts
- Hate Me Now
- Nas Is Like
- Last Real N!gga Out The Bridge
- Dance
- Fetus
- Poppa Was A Playa
- Doo Rags

I Gave You Power - Nas raps as if he was a GUN
"Always I'm in some sh*t, my abdomen is the clip
The barrel is my d!ck, uncircumcised
Pull my skin back and cock me, I bust off when they unlock me"

Rewind - Nas raps about a story BACKWARDS...

"My ni**a Jungle utters out somethin crazy like, "Go he there"
Sittin in back of this chair, we hittin the roach
The smoke goes back in the blunt, the blunt gets bigger in growth
Jungle unrolls it, put his weed back in the jar
The blunt turns back into a cigar"

He has the most classic songs IMO and those are just a few that I chose.
