When you lay on your stomach, unless you have a bed that has a hole so that you can stick your face there to breathe, your neck will be craned to the side -- this is an unusual (e.g., unnatural) position for your neck.

that's why pillows are soft though....
to accomodate your neck and head for the different levels of height....

?

I'm not saying you can't sleep on your stomach anymore; All sleeping positions are of personal preference. I'm just saying that be wary when sleeping on your stomach and attempt to modify your sleeping position once in a while. Sleeping on your stomach puts your neck in an unnatural position and it also force your spine into an uncomfortable position. Your weight will also be on your lungs, so this might make it difficult for you to breathe properly when asleep.

No problems. 🙂

I used to sleep on my stomach a LOT. I thought it should be another "natural" position (you know, 'cuz babies sleep on their stomachs, too). However, as I read more about sleeping positions, (i.e., sleeping on your stomach places unneded pressures on your spine), I "reacquainted" myself to sleeping on my back. 🙂

All my life I only slept on my sides, then, the first night I moved out of my parent's house I slept on my back - it was the best night's sleep I'd ever had. Since that day I've slept on my back.

on the side with my right side with 3 stuffed animals, 3 long pillows, 3 head pillows, and another 3 pillows somewhere out of the way. my 2 comforters are used as a pillow depending on how i'm curled up.

On top or bottom.. it's all good. 😉

Err.. You mean that isn't what you meant? 😉

I sleep on all my sides.. just depends on what is comfy. I don't think I've ever woken up in the same position I fell asleep in.

Same. I usually start out on my left side or on my back. Might wake up the same, but I move around quite a bit. And it doesn't help that I wake up in the middle of the night sometimes too. Actually, that's only really been happening for about 3 weeks now. One visit to the chiro seemed to harm my back more than help it, that doctor was alittle too rough, imo.

I'm a restless sleeper so whenever I shift around it sometimes wakes the wife up 🙁

We might get a Latex bed but they are $$$ compared to my CostCo $339 special.

On top of your moms.........OHHHHHHHHHH
That's right, I dusted off the mom jokes. Now I'm going to dust off her.....ok, I'll stop.

Anyways, I usually sleep in whatever position I pass out in. If I haven't been drinking, I am one of those restless sleepers.

Doggie style

I sit up and beg, and she rolls over and plays dead. 🙂

Ummm oh

On my stomach.
