I'd disagree. If you build a comprible system by yourself, you will save money. Plus you have the satisfaction of doing something with your own two hands.

Desktops: Build myself.

Laptop: I LOVE my HP, but I'm not sure if all of their laptops are as well made as their "business class"

Built by me.

Of course for work, I buy all Dell's as it the simplest way to do it. No middleman to deal with, the warranties are great, and the product is reliable.

Although Macs are not always called pc's, they are still personal computers. Even the G5 commercial called it the "fastest personal computer". For pre-made windows computers, dell is definetly the best as far as ability to customize, and their prices are good. (Unless your stupid and pay 4k for the pre-customised xps).
