It's not necessarily an assumption that everyone likes the band; the answer to "Favorite Metallica Song" could be "which one sucks least?"...
 
Would have to be off the "And Justice For All" Album. Hmmm thinking...Gah. Shortest Straw, Harvester of Sorrow, and Frayed Ends of Sanity all rock... since i can only pick one...ill go with. Harvester of Sorrow.

Justice I would have to say. Too many to choose from but I am only allowed one choice.

I started to learn AJFA on my guitar, but it ended up getting too difficult so I gave up...that's what you do when things get tough, give up, right?

(for the record, I can play lots of it).

1) the OP does not make that assumption--at all. The assumption is implied for those that choose to read the thread, b/c they have an interest in the topic. Hence the filter, hence the very non-general assumption.

2) You misspelled, "favorite."

3) you're an idiot.

I'd have a difficult time picking a "favorite," but "Enter Sandman," "Nothing Else Matters," or "The Unforgiven" would probably be in the mix...if only because those are some of the ones I'm most familiar with.

Not much love for "Kill 'em All". If you like metallica you MUST own this. The guitars, the riffs, so freaking sweet.
 
I'm a huge fan of Sanitarium but when it comes to older Metallica it's really hard for me to pick just one.

And Spidey, while Sanitarium may be my favorite song, Kill 'em All is my favorite album. They're just so raw at that point and to me that is when bands are always at their best.
 
I dont understand how people can vote for Unforgiven. Such a weak song IMO. The only thing i can guess it was played on the radio and MTV a lot and that is all you know of Metallica. I think there are 2 sets of fans. Pre-Black album fans (myself) and people who like the Black album and onward.

I can tolerate the Black album but i think that is when they started sucking overall. I dont really listen to Metallica much anymore though at all.

Although i do have an urge for some And Justice right now....
