Gandalf - "Confound you Samwise Gamgee! Have you been eaves dropping!?!"

Sam - "I haven?t been droppin? no eaves, sir! Honest!"

😀

I know you have your favorites too!

In the Mines of Moria...

"Oh! They've got a cave troll."

Not quoted exactly, so correct any errors.

that one is pretty good 😀

Gandalf: Fool of a Took! Next time throw yourself in and rid us from your stupidity

I am amused by that one

or

Frodo: I wish the ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.

Gandalf: So do all that come to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, than and the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find this ring. In which case you were also 'meant' to have it. And that is an encouraging thought.

Pippin - "Where are we going?"

Gimli - "Well, here's One dwarf she won't ensnare so easily! I have the eyes of a hawk, and the ears of a fox!"

Frodo - "I WILL TAKE IT!"

heres my favorite quote😉

but be warned I caught a few mistakes in there.

One said the "white tower of Ithilien"
which is wrong!!
is should be the white tower of "Ecthelion"

"Bilbo Baggins, do not take me as a conjuror of cheap tricks!"

<< I was pretty happy when the credits started. >>

Actually, my friend and I love the opening...

Frodo:
It's a pity Bilbo didn't kill him when he had the chance.
Gandalf:
Pity? It was pity that stayed Bilbo's hand. Many that live deserve death. Some that die deserve life. Can you give it to them, Frodo? Do not be too eager to deal out death in judgement. Even the very wise cannot see all ends. My heart tells me that Gollum has some part to play yet, for good or ill before this is over. The pity of Bilbo may rule the fate of the ring. When all this is over, the pity of Bilbo may rule the fate of the ring.

"...you animal-food-trough-water."

<< "I fart in your general direction" >>

"you English knig-git!...your mother was a hampster and your father smelt of elderberries! Now go away before I taunt you a second time!"

😀

<< "Bilbo Baggins, do not take me as a conjuror of cheap tricks!"

actually the quote is "Bilbo Baggins, do not take me for some conjuror of cheap tricks!"😉

The "Throw yourself in next time and rid us of your stupidity!" line was pretty good.

"Dragon? Nonsense! There hasn't been a dragon in these parts for a thousand years!"

"I don't know half of you as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve."

Also chuckled when Gimli yelled "Not the beard!" 😀

Thanks for your contribution, we care. No really, we do.

Gimli: Well, here's one dwarf she won't ensnare so easily. I have the eyes of a hawk and the ears of a fox.
(Elves appear, covering the company with arrows)
Gimli:Oh...
Haldir (an elf): The dwarf breathes so loud we could have shot him in the dark.

I like:

Galadriel: Even the smallest person can change the course of the future. (although I don't recall that in the book)

and

Frodo: I wish the ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.
...
Gandalf: So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All you have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to you.

and all of the Elvish 🙂

SAM "If I take one more step, I will be the farthest from home I will ever be." (loosely paraphrased).

That line means so much to me... To me it symbolizes how little effort is really required to break out beyond our
shells and to explore new things. The only thing holding us back are the mental chains within our minds. Some day,
I hope the be as brave as Samwise Gamgee.

<< Elrond: Welcome to Rivendell, Mr. Anderson -- uhh, I mean, Frodo Baggins. >>

BAHAHAHA!!

<< Gandalf - "Confound you Samwise Gamgee! Have you been eaves dropping!?!"

Sam - "I haven?t been droppin? no eaves, sir! Honest!"
>>

I like that one. 🙂

Gandalf: What did you hear? SPEAK!
Sam: N-n-n-nothing important. That is I heard a good deal about a ring, Dark Lord, and something about the end of the world, but, please Mr Gandalf, sir, please don't 'urt me. Don't turn me into anything - unnatural...
