Examples like StarOffice and LinuxNeighborhood are good.

Examples like xBill that ships with linux, while good, are unacceptable by themselves and will distinguish you as a complete and total neffer.

ipchains/iptables (although I prefer FreeBSD's ipfw)

Edit: And ipfwadm if you want one that doesn't get installed by default.

GIMP, gcc, vi, openoffice.

Not necessarily linux, but opensource projects I like.

You know, I tried to install this Lunix thing and bought it from Walmart, but I couldn't find SETUP.EXE so I returned this defective POS. Screw all these Lunix users.

However, currently I use the following programs in my day-to-day operations:

PgSQL and MySQL
Apache 2
MRTG (a router throughout grapher)
indent (a GNU util for C++ code)
