Favorite Hip-Hop verse?

Just wanted to hear some good rhymes so I thought I'd ask here...
Here is one of my favorite verses...

Since I'm in a position to talk to these kids and they listen
I ain't no politician but I'll kick it with 'em a minute
Cause see they call me a menace; and if the shoe fits I'll wear it
But if it don't, then y'all'll swallow the truth grin and bear it
Now who's these king of these rude ludicrous lucrative lyrics
Who could inherit the title, put the youth in hysterics
Usin his music to steer it, sharin his views and his merits
But there's a huge interference - they're sayin you shouldn't hear it
Maybe it's hatred I spew, maybe it's food for the spirit
Maybe it's beautiful music I made for you to just cherish
But I'm debated disputed hated and viewed in America
as a m*therfuckin drug addict - like you didn't experiment?
Now now, that's when you start to stare at who's in the mirror
and see yourself as a kid again, and you get embarrased
And I got nothin to do but make you look stupid as parents
You f*ckin do-gooders - too bad you couldn't do good at marriage!
(Ha ha!) And do you have any clue what I had to do to get here I don't
think you do so stay tuned and keep your ears glued to the stereo
Cause here we go - he's {*Jigga joint Jigga-chk-Jigga*}
And I'm the sinister, Mr. Kiss-My-Asz it's just the
Renegade

See I'm a poet to some, a regular modern day Shakespeare
Jesus Christ the King of these Latter Day Saints here
To shatter the picture in which of that as they paint me
as a monger of hate and Satan a scatter-brained atheist
But that ain't the case, see it's a matter of taste
We as a people decide if Shady's as bad as they say he is
Or is he the latter - a gateway to escape?
Media scapegoat, who they can be mad at today
See it's easy as cake, simple as whistlin Dixie
while I'm wavin the pistol at sixty Christians against me
Go to war with the Mormons, take a bath with the Catholics
in holy water - no wonder they try to hold me under longer
I'm a motherf*ckin spiteful, DELIGHTFUL eyeful
The new Ice Cube - motherf*ckers HATE to like you
What did I do? (huh?) I'm just a kid from the gutter
makin this butter off these bloodsuckers, cause I'm a muh'f*ckin
Renegade

Talib Kweli - Too Late This song has an amazing beat - the lyrics are an added bonus!

Yo, when the bass thump, the place jump
Like it's way crunk, yeah,
Fake punks get they face lumped
Sent to the most high, by the most fit
You gotta do, f*ck that almost sh*t
The fam is close knit
You diggin', know the clock don't stop tickin'
Glocks still spittin', the whole block politickin'
Lik epresidents with they minds dead on arrival
Leaving no evidence of a struggle for survival
Songs relevant to the times like the psalms read in the Bible
Stepping to this leaves thoughts in your head 'it's suicidal'
It's the T to the A-L-I-B the deep rooter
Rolling with my wanna battle cats who chief buddha
And see through the overspecialized, underpressurized
No lie texturized, emcees who got the masses mesmerized
with empty rhetoric, they better quit
Niggas so hollow that they echo like sentiments

OR

Tash - Only When I'm Drunker This song is hilarious. Its Tash and J-ro rapping back and forth trying to convince the other that they can drink more. 🙂

[J-Ro]
I get drunk and I stumble to the mic
Stay drunk all week, I'm at my Peak like Pike
I'm never at my peak, I'm killin fifth after fifth
I drink mo' 40's than Tash and E-Swift (hell naw!!)
Uh-huh, I drink more than both of y'all (no you don't!)
I hold more liquor than a bank on Crenshaw
And Tash you can't drink brew, you know you the awesome dude who (WHAT?)
be all on yo' nads, after just a swig or two

[Tash]
awesome dude you trippin, must be that Zima you was sippin
Yo' accountant couldn't count how many bottles I be grippin
and flip it in the trash cause I downed em with ease
while you on yo' knees -- about to pass somebody yo' keys
I even had to pay the taxi (what?) the last time you asked me (uh)
You start off on yo' feet but always wind up on yo' back G
Bro you should know you can't drink with Ri-co
While you down yo' sh*t slow, I'm on my ninth Cuervo

great thread; my votes (won't paste the whole verse to save lengths)...

Jay-z's second verse in Mya's Best of Me. Holla remix.
5,4,3,2,1/ Carolina blue kicks/ Hottest awesome dude on the block/ Used to willie bicycle since I was six, uh
High school crossover waved away picks....

Eminem's verse on Biggies Dead Wrong
There's several different levels to Devil worshippin: horse's heads
human sacrifices, canibalism; candles and exorcism
Animals havin sex with 'em; camels mammals and rabbits
But I don't get into that, I kick the habit - I just,
beat you to death with weapons that eat through the flesh
And I never eat you unless the f-ing, meat looks fresh....

Either Jay-Z's or Ludacris's verse on Missy's One Minute Man. they're great back to back.
There are many others, but i don't wanna try to think of them 🙂

So mandatory my elevation my lyrics like orientation
So you can be more familiar with tha awesome dude you facin
We must be based on nothin better than communication
Known to damage and highly flamable like gas stations
Sorry I left that ass waitin
No more procrastination give up to fate, and get that asss shakin
I'm bustin and makin motherfvckers panic
Don't take ya life for granted put that ass in the dirt
You swear the bitch was planted
My lyrics motivate the planet
It's similar to Rhythm Nation
but thugged out, forgive me Janet
Who's in control I'm acvtivatin yo souls
You know, the way the games get controlled
Yo, two years ago, a friend of mine
Told me Alize and Cristal blows your mind
Bear witness to the dopest fvckin rhyme I wrote
Takin off my coat, clearing my throat

The Late Great Tupac Shakur
Got My Mind Made Up
All Eyez On Me - Book One

<--- starts musicmatch, kicks backs, listens. . .

i like a lot of Eminem's verses actually.

my fav verse isn't really a rap verse but is at the beginning to a song...it's in my sig...

My car is like my own personal universe
She's my drug and it only takes twelve bucks to fill her up
But in my galaxy there ain't no room for Earth
So I'm leaving it 'cause I can feel the oil pressure building up
Turning over the ignition
Of my solar system
Check the gauges, push in the tape,
Put my foot on the brake
Shift existance, light my cigarette
And take it state to state
Until I crash into my fate

Atmosphere.

Any others? Some good verses have been listed that I have never heard and need to listen to.
Ohya, mine is Eminem's verse from Jay-Z's Renegade song.

I don't know the name of it, but I actually heard a song with the lyrics: "Pass the kielbasa yeah....and the sisters say pass the kielbasa yeaaahhh....and the brothers say pass the kielbasa yeahhh.....etc" Anyone know what song this is????

lol pass the kielbasa 😀

I like "If I get Locked Up Tonight" by Eminem. It probably has the tightest lyrics of any rap song I've ever heard. I especially love the lines:

I hate this straight jacket, it ain't latchin. They can't lock it so they staple my hands to my pants pockets. This cell's padded and batterd like someone else had it before me and just kept throwin their fvckin' self at it.

And (because I can completely relate):
My head is achin', I'm dedicated to medication but this med is takin' too long to bring me to sed-dedation.

JayZ's U don't know...

I sell ice in the winter, I sell fire in hell
I am a hustler baby, I'll sell water to a well
I was born to get cake, move on and switch states
