Red Robin's is good. Mmmmm, never ending steak fries. If you're cheap, the Jack in the Box Ultimate Bacon Cheese Burger is good.

In-N-out has pretty good burgers but their fries are dry crap that's not even salted most of the time. They're so dry you can't salt them when you get them either since the salt just bounces right off.

Carl's Jr. is good.

Niman Ranch ground beef. This stuff is the best quality meat around San Francisco. "Burger Joint" in S.F. has their meat. So does the Hayes Street Grill.

I live in Hawaii and when I go to the mainland I plan my trips around In-n-Out burgers. Been to LA, SF and Vegas ones and always leave happy. In Hawaii burgers suck, local fastfood places sell their burgers for like $4-5.00 because it's "gourmet" or something. It's a ripoff, damn I miss In-n-Out...

FreAk😀

just had in and out a few days ago.. double-double.. it was good..

today had a Nation's Giant hamburger... MMmmmm.. that's the best i've had.. they put these thick-arse onions (wheew.. dont get near me... 😛 ) tomato, lettuce, and mayo (their menu says at least 3/4 lb. with everything on it) .. it's at least 1 1/2 the size of a double-double. for $3.20. great price.. Best burger in the bay area IMO.

i never tried that carl's jr $6 (but priced at $3.95) burger.. but i doubt it'd come close to a Nation's burger..

Nothing beats the whopper. Except a double whopper. 🙂

<< In-N-Out have GREAT burgers, but their lines are getting much longer lately and its not really "fast-food" anymore =\. I also love Tommy's chili-cheese burgers, but its very messy. Fudruckers is also great. My favorite though would have to be this small local place that opened called Everest, a nice quarter pound charbroiled patty with bacon, avocado, cheese, lettuce, pickles, peppercinis (sp?), onions and tomato. $4, but its big and it tastes GREAT. >>

It's!

This thread is making me hungry !! cheeseburgers tonight but I'll make them myself 😀

I might have to revise my opinion... Just ate at Carls, Jr...... It was pretty damn good, very comparable to In n out, but much faster lines 🙂

My favorite burger is still the Bonzai Burger at Red Robins, though.

In-n-Out fries are great. They claim they are never frozen, same as their burgers. Basically cut the potatos up right before they cook them.

i have not had an IN-N-OUT burger for a few years. I would kill for one. The only thing I hate about Missouri, no In-N-Out. So I will go with McDonalds.

I would just like to reiterate that IN-N-OUT's fries are dry unsalted crap. The restaurant should get serious points deducted for serving such crap. I've tried them again and again and they always so dry you can't even get salt to stick to them....I can never even finish a regular order.

<< I just thought of another yummy burger Tommys chili burgers mmmmmmmmmmm >>

Tommy's is great. Messy, but great. Best fries anywhere IMO. Woody's is great too (CA only though, ha!). I'm beginning to think CA is the burger epicenter of the universe. In-N-Out, Tommy's, Woody's, TK Burger and the list goes on.

They will give you extra salt if you ask, and you can also order them well done or lightly done if you want somethign different.

My vote? In-n-Out, which I have missed ever so much since I moved here from CA, where there was one 5 min from my house.
<insert Homer drooling sound here>

I LOVE Margies Diner's Bacon/Cheese without anything else except, ah heck, this is what I get:

Bacon, Cheese, Hamburger Patty, ketchup, comes with onion rings, and french fries, and the hamburger is literaly the size of a normal 15 year olds head. I measured it on my own, and my family verified. Psycho, plus ALL the rest of the food is in the same proportions......including teh milk shakes....YUM!

Hehe. In-N-Out is good but isn't even in the same LEAGUE as a Fatburger. We're talking JV High School squad against NBA baller. Not even close. Anyone who has eaten both will say the EXACT same thing.

<<

<< white castle and wendy's >>

Wendy's???? That would be on my list of WORST hamburgers!
>>

they're okay.. they had a chedder bacon special burger awhile back and must say it was rather tasty...

quite sad that dave thomas died..
