I'm going to go out and say the marathon series from Bungie is one of my favorites. Super smash brothers for the GC and UT2k4 (as well as original) also rank up there.

Return Fire on 3DO was really fun.

Star Wars: KOTOR is great on PC or Xbox.

My all-time favorite racing game was Motor City Online... but leave it to EA to fvck up a great game and then shut down the servers.

Of course Counter-Strike was good... it was the first first person shooter I played online... well, the first FPS I played period.

Soldier of Fortune 2 was good, I had a lot of fun playing that online with some friends.

When I was real young my brother and I use to have TONS of fun playing Blades of Steel and Techmo Superbowl for NES.

this is extremely hard but i'm gonna have to say q1ctf (by threewave). I've probably spent the most time on this game. i loved that mod and it loved me.

but i also loved
trs80: zaxxon (oh the joys of CLoad)
atari: pitfall, boxing
nes: dragon warrior, river city ransom, super mario brothers 1,2,3, mike tysons punch out.
snes: super mario world, Legend of Zelda Link to the Past, Mario Cart, tons more.
xbox: halo, halo2 (i've played the online beta and it RULES), spiderman2, ....

im sure theres more but thats all i can think of right now, ill prolly think of a ton more when i get home from work.
 
Descent II

I played that game incessantly.

I had a Rendition Verite based video card so I even got to play it 3D accelerated.

hm...MS Flight Simulator 😀 I've been playing this since 5.1...and it's great. Runners up are Goldeneye and Mechwarrior 2.

Edit: oh...Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past was wonderful was well...
