I guess some people just don't understand foreign films unless there are a ton of explosions in them :roll:

it was on ifc this morning... missed it... caught the last 2 minutes (when nico and amelie are on the motorbike).

Amelie was good as were many others mentioned (was La femme Nikita and Leon mentioned?), but life is beautiful was the best. When Guido translate the Nazi prison guards orders for the benefit of his son...that was one of the great scenes of all time.

Mo0o I been trying to watch Water but so far haven't been able to get into it. Should I give it more time or is it a slow movie ? I usually enjoy most foreign movies.

it's definitely on the slower side but i think the overall story makes up for it. It's slow in the beginning. the cinematography is ridiculously good in that movie

Yup, I'm a huge Kurosawa fan, but that one gets me every time. Whenever anyone mentions foreign films, it's always the first that comes to mind.
