favorite dress shirt brand?

It depends on your age...for plain colors I like Geoffrey Beene.

I'm a bit on the young side for my company (average age is like 45)...so I wear alot of colorful striped shirts...they're more going out shirts...but they look nice tucked in with dress pants. For those I go with Claiborne, CK, Polo, BR, Lacoste, or Express. I've kinda cut back on shopping at Express. They have nice colors and designs, but the quality sucks....though I find their premium shirts last alot longer than their 1mx shirts. The 1mx shirts looked like crap after about 4 washes.

I wear mostly brooks or talbots for men...personally I prefer the Talbots shirts in construction but the fit of the brooks is a bit better...you can get either at good prices on sale, typically I pay 30-40 for a shirt.

Polo is a joke unless you get a hefty discount...they just aren't nice and IMHO aren't professional.

Jos A Bank is ok but only when on sale, which is pretty much all the time with them.

I stick with simple, conservative, and without a logo on it...

Sams Club (or equivalent)

cheapest thing I can get, a shirt is a shirt, as long as it does not shred prematurely or fade to look like those expensive shirts from the GAP.

thanks fellas

before i had asked, i was thinking either geoffery beene or alfani. i'll have to take a look at some of the others mentioned 🙂

I get my work <dress shirts> from clearances at TJ Max/Kohl for around $10/each. I like Van Heusen and Haggar.

I also buy nice shirts <various brands> when they on sale/clearance. Stock them up just in case. Good shirts on sale FTW.

Geoffrey Beene for me, especially from K&G, really cheap and quality. Their athletic fit has a tighter waist compared to the shoulders/arms and fits me very well.
