winrar is teh best. handles zip, rar, ace etc it's awesome. besides, rar is the most popular format for "file sharing"

same, i use both. winrar froze up on me last night, and i needed to extract something, so winzip came to the rescue. thats my logic for having both.

WinAce. Rar is rarely more effective than Ace.
I sometimes use WinUHA, too. Fast and compresses like no other.

BTW, my record compression with ACE is compression ~300MB System Shock 2 savegames at 2.64% (less than 8MB).
