I like lots of genres, but I don't have much classical. What are your favorite classical pieces to get on LimeWare?

Mine are:
Dvorak - Slavonic Dance no. 1
JS Bach - TOccata and Fugure in Dm
Debussy - Clair de Lune (for Piano)
Dvorak - New World Symphony - IV Allegro con Fuoco
Carl Orff - Carmina Burana - O Fortuna

Schumann - Traumerei
Beethoven - Moonlight Sonata

Wish I could add more to the list, but I don't remember the names of the other pieces.

beethoven - 7th symphony 3rd movement
Bach: Air on G
Bach - Brandenburg concertos 2 & 3
mozart - symphony 40

I love all of those and have been lucky to play quite a few of them (double bass)

The Four Seasons by Antonio Vivaldi is excellent.

I also like to listen to Bach, especially Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 in G - Allegro

As soon as I get my web/ftp server up I'll post a link here for leech (limited time only). I have a little over 4000 mp3's and nearly half are classical or new age (enya, loreena, not techno trance stuff). I'm in cahoots with a classical musician so I get to hear all kinds of good stuff.

Cannon in D is my favorite song, classical or non.

I also like Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring, Slovanic Dance No 8, and Track 6 (I think) on the
Total Annihilation sound track.

<< Rachmaninov... there's this one song but can't remember it >>

Vocalise?

My vote: Rachmaninov's piano concerto #3, and Rach's cello sonata no.19 in G minor.

Not all classical, but instrumental... I know I like them because I enjoy listening to them, plus I enjoyed playing them. I'm a clarinetist.

Carl Maria Von Weber - Clarinet Concertino No. 1, 2
Mozart - Clarinet Quintet K581
Bizet - Carmen, L'Arsomething Suite
Dvorak - New World Symphony
Schubert - Mass in G
Zappa - Dog Breath Variations
Tichelli... I like most of his stuff
Wagner - Elsa's Procession to the Cathedral
Grainger - Lincolnshire Posey

And tons more that I can't think of! I love classical!

This thread suddenly reminded me of the music we used to play in high school band.

Holst - 2nd Suite in F

Did anyone ever play "Wedding Dance" by Jacques Press? I know it's a shot in the dark, but if someone has a professional recording of this piece, I would love to get a copy.

Most Debussy and Mozart. For a modern twist on classical check out a group called Bond.
