"Logan's Run" is OLD?!?

For REALLY old movies, I have an afinity for "The Day The Earth Stood Still". Remember, when Gort attacks, say:

"Klatu. Barada. Nikto."

Yup, The Day The Earth Stood Still gets mine....though it ain't that cheesy.

Did you guys know that Klatu, Barada, and Nikto were all characters in Star Wars from Jabba'a Palace?

Forbidden Planet is THE classic! That Film is where the SCI FI craze started...circa '54 if I remember...

Crack In The World was good.

I guess you guys are talking about OLD Sci-fi. My favorite more modern, less-cheesy flick is Total Recall

My favorite oldie is the day the earth stood still, but war of the worlds, I think came before forbidden planet and was possibly more a stimulant for interest is sf.

<< "Klatu. Barada. Nikto." >>

That's the incantations that your wizard murmurs when calling up stuff in Sacrifice....:Q

Army of Darkness - Bruce Campbell, who could get more cheesier and still have you enjoy the movie?

:) and second choice for cheese value, i gotta agree with emos on them. could it have inspired aliens? something about the scream on that kid seems to overlap in my mind.

Another vote for Plan 9 as the cheesiest.

I thought Forbidden Planet was great for it's time. I mean Leslie Nielsen in a serious role. ".....and stop calling me Shirley!"
