Too many to pick from.

Scenes is definitely a good choice, as is piano man.

Oh, how about Miami 2017?

Yeah, I think it's 2017 or State of Mind.

Although I really am not a big album buying fan of his, I will give him credit for his lyrical content and being able to convey and carry a coherent story line thru-out a hole song. Some thing very, very few artists can accomplish.
 Great song.

Honesty is one of my favorites as well (surprised that no one mentioned it).
Also love:
NY State of Mind
Longest Time (has that 50's doowop feel)
Piano Man
Matter of Trust
Goodnight Saigon

Goodnight Saigon is a personal favorite too.

If that's the one that starts with the helicopters, that would be my favorite as well.

Billy Joel is an excellent songwriter.

haha, did you also interpret those lyrics that way?

I have this recording of Billy Joel talking about how he wrote Italian Restaurant as an inspiration from the Beatles. I don't recall which Beatles album/song it was, but it was one in which it's like a bunch of smaller, different songs all blended together... just like Italian Restaurant.

I like so many of his songs that it's hard his favorite more then anyone else. I guess it's a tie between Pressure and I Go To Extremes, Scenes From an Italian Restaurant is awesome too though.
