Anyways my top few are:
Underworld
Michael Franti & Spearhead
Martin Sexton
Jeff Buckley
Radiohead
The Flaming Lips
Soul Coughing
Jurassic 5
Ugly Duckling

bosstones
bouncing souls
faith no more
zeppelin
beatles
sublime
marley and the whalers

I could go on for a while.

Opeth
Bloodbath
Third favorite is nearly impossible to decide .. but I'm gonna say Iron Maiden because in addition to being great, they inspired so many other great bands

No band with a number in the name (U2 is exempt, they're ok) like Blink 182, Sum 41, Familiar 48, Maroon 5, etc. It's time we put a stop to this:|

Yeah next time your parents should have considered birth control 😉

Seriously though 🙂 , bands with numbers in them have been around a long time: Jackson 5 (one of Rolling Stones Top 100 bands), B52's (same, and a great party band), many more good but less notables.....

Blink-182 made RS Top 100 with All The Small Things as well.

If one puts a basis on the quality of anything based on it's name only is akin to racism.

Metallica and Dream Theater are the first two, without a doubt. Number three changes depending on my mood, between bands like Zao, Arch Enemy, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Guns n Roses, Beatles, Bach, From Autumn to Ashes, Emperor, etc

Ok, fine and dandy. Let me clarify...there are lots of bands with numbers in the name that are good. However, THE NUMBERS STOP NOW DAMITT. No more bands with a word and then a number.
