Favorite Band Of Brothers Character?

Aerosoul

I gotta say George Luz or Harry Welch...

Nix - "I cant beleive your still carrying around that old parachute"

Harry - "I thought I would send it to Kitty when we make it back to England. I think it would make a good wedding dress."

Nix - "I never would have beleived that about you"

Harry - "What, that I was so sentimental?"

Nix - "No, that you think we're making it back to England."

Not the exact quote, but you know what I mean. 😛

Dick Winters, no question. Read the book and you'll see. He is a real hero and a remarkable individual.

But my favorite is that crazy guy ... what's his name....he took over for that Lt.***.

After the war, Capt. Herbert Sobel fell into alcoholism, could not keep a job and was frequently homeless, and eventually committed suicide in the late 60s. According to his sister after his death, he blamed E company for ruining his life.

While Winters was my favorite, straight-up character, Guarnere was my favorite "what an a-hole" character. 🙂

I thought you were talking about the redheaded nurse from the "winter" Bastone episode.

Ooops!

That one guy... Forgot his name. Always up to sh1t. I remember he was trying to pull another guy into a foxhole when a shell hit em. That messed em up.

Guerno or somethin like that.

Otherwise, Winters and the new guy that took over, spears or something. One that supposedly shot the German POW's and ran across the battlefield.

2 candidates for me.

Spears cause he ran he ran straight through that town of germans - and then ran back.
Garnier cause he's funny as sh!t.

That was Spiers. The scene where he runs through the town and back is one of my favorites, I don't remember from the book whether it was accurate or not.

Winters, Spiers and Nixon were all up there for me. Lipton, Compton and Randleman were all good too.

This is one series I never get tired of watching. I have no idea how many times I have watched it. I guess it just looks good on the plasma or something.

I loved Guarniere - especially in the Normandy episode where he mercilessly abuses the new guy until the guy finally lays into him for it. He responds by talking to the guy next to him, "hey, that kid's alright..."

Its very hard to pick a favorite..
being they are all remarkable REAL people...
amazing stories of amazing events...
so hard to beleive sometimes that everything is based on 100% fact..

Garnier and Joe Toy I think were my faves...
that and the medic..

anyone else find that alot of the actors picked to portray the peeps looked alot like the real peeps on the interview disk?

Hard to pick just one but the ones I liked the most were Guarnere, Winters, Lipton, and Compton. And Spiers, of course.

Having read the book and watched the series, I don't think I can pick a single character/person. They were all remarkable people that I believe embody the true spirit of the U.S.A. All the actors seemed to embody the person they were portraying accurately (I read the book first) and I can't really pick a single actor either.
