There's some kind of mochi with a red bean paste filling, served cold. I don't know what it's called but I remembered it while reading this thread. There's also this flat vanilla cookie covered with sugar and ginger flavored. Don't know what it's called either.

Boba, on the other hand... I tried some at a sushi bar down the street and almost choked on these godawful tapioca balls <insert joke here>

Strawberry Pocky and Calbee Shrimp Chips.

Edit: Those crackers that you talk about are called Bin-Bin crackers.
Edit2: Pretz is great too but the only good flavor is salad.

hmm...

Haw Flakes
Shrip Cracker chips whatever they are called.
Pocky
White Rabbit Candy
Those Jello Hamburgers that i seen lately.

I also like those little crackers that come two in a package and are covered in sugar. They're kinda light brown and crispy... I have no idea what they're called, though

This is just a good guess, but your prolly talking about that Philippine product called "OTAP". your description fits perfectly to that delicacy. BTW, i love those too. 🙂

MY FAVORITE!!!

trust me, that's the BEST snack!!! I have been eating it for years. but not available at where I live now(nyc) 🙁
I can eat it once or twice a year, if my sisters bring me back a bag or two from canada

i feel sad that i missed out on this thread for so long....

anyways:

those little japanese crackers that have soysauce on them or something
the two cracker things with sugar on them
haw flakes
the little jelly things
mochi ice cream
pocky

hm, never tried wasabi peas. need to get some.

I just got back from an asian supermarket, bought some wasabi peas based on this thread.... they're good, very hot taste! I like it but I think I'd like the non-wasabi version better, even though I haven't tried it...

Feels like killing brain cells, but its crunchier than alcohol 😉

LOL... glad you had a good experience. The non-wasabi version is a pleasant change... a little sweeter (but not sugary sweet, blah) with a taste that doesn't clear your sinuses. 😀

Aww..memories of TAiwan..

My dad loves those wasabi green peas...usually the whole family munches on them while watching Taiwanese variety shows...or if everyone's gathered together for a movie.

Those rice cakes are YUMMY.

Pocky is good...but too americanized I think...but it reminds me of my bf b/c he loves it.

There's this milk candy thing....from Taiwan..soooooooo good. If i remember the name I'll edit.

Shrimp chips...w/o wasabi...another family get together snack.

OMG....HAWFLAKES!! I LOOOOVE those things!!!

k..that's enough for now...hehe...me getting hungry.

I really dunno, I eat so many different snacks...modern stuff like Pocky...then there's always dried mangoes (my FAVORITE fruit evar)...everything seems so normal to me, I dunno.
