As per my thread yesterday (is Amazon Prime worth it?), I signed up for Prime and find groceries an interesting way to save money. For example, organic cereal costs $5-7 a box where I live but costs $17 for 6 boxes on Amazon, not to mention the gas/time savings. Some items are over priced but there are some good deals to be found.

What are some grocery items you like on Amazon, from great deals to unique stuff worth trying out?

THAT'S AWESOME - though I hope they have a better business plan than urban fetch and other similar services that fizzled out.

Chocolate and the Kitchens of India stuff looks great - thanks!
Speaking of milk - soy milk is pretty affordable on amazon, and does not require refrigeration (until opened).

At $3 a box it's cheaper than kellogs, tastes better, slightly healthier since it has less sugar and more fiber.

I couldn't care less how the stuff was made, but I happen to find flax seed, honey, and pumpkin seed cereal pretty delicious and hearty.

As for me I have not used the grocery service from Amazon though I do see the "fresh" delivery trucks going by my house almost daily, including the weekends. I may try it for the heck of it sometime but for now I'll deal with the inconvenience of 6 grocery stores within 5 miles.

I like some organic food, not because it doesnt use chemicals but because a good chunk of it tastes better. Like organic frozen foods rock, compared to the non organic. But thats mainly because they cost more.

hahah! I'm so sorry I couldn't sell you an invite. My family and inlaws ate them up, and someone nabbed one for $16 before you even asked.

Sign up for prime now - I guarantee you can sell you invites withing an hour.

Heck, anyone want to sell quintox one of their invites? PM him!

Indeed. I don't want to start this debate again, but organic food just tastes better to me because they're made to a higher standard (you know, because they cost more and are considered gourmet). For example, this organic pasta sauce I had last night tasted absurdly good, much better than ragu. Was it because it was blessed by a monk or fertilizer free? Nah, it was just seasoned better and had better ingredients, because they need to appeal to their market. Organic cereal's tasty and more robust than mainstream cereal...

Read the reviews of the milk - ha.

I find stuff on sale in the grocery section. Several months ago I got 36 (full size) bags of potato chips for like $12. We still have half of them to go. It still amuses me that Amazon shipped a huge box to me for that amount of $ and the UPS guy carried the huge box to my door.

I actually ordered food/candy off of amazon for the first time yeterday. Airheads. So my 100% favorite thing to order off Amazon grocery right now is Airheads.

I dont wanna get regular groceries there.
BUT, I did get some kickass brownies from Amazon and some gum balls and a few other odds and ends. Also purchased some emergency food like MRE's and hard tack blocks.
I didnt care for Amazon when it first started but now that they do a great job of protecting their customers and have tons more stuff and generally the best prices, I use them a lot.
Got a nice little Leatherman Micra/Wave combo for 25 bucks. Normally those tools are 20-30 each, so I saved anywhere from 15 to 35 dollars there. Got my mom her unlocked Blackberry Curve 8330 for a sweet price. Will probably be getting her Xmas gift there as well.
