Hmm, I would have put that differently. Something like, Christpher Lambert has all bad movies. 😛

Marlon Brando (particularly of the 50's)

Gregory Peck
Gary Cooper
Sean Connery
Cary Grant
Jimmy Stewart
Gene Kelly
Anthony Hopkins
Leonardo Dicaprio
Johnny Depp
Mel Gibson
Ray Liotta
& Chris Tucker 😀

/edit: Christian Bale is definitely up on the list...all the way back to Empire of the Sun.

Very interesting to me is that not one person named a female actor (actress). Does this mean that everyone else shares my affliction of not being able to objectively rate female actors because of personal bias toward appearance?.....Or, does everyone just think men are better actors naturally?

I'd say Clint Eastwood.

Sean Connery as a close second.

No, just that it was specified "actor" and since most of us have a hardcore aversion to political correctness around here, we still differentiate between the male (actor) and female (actress).

Al Pacino: can't believe no one's said it yet.

Oddly, I haven't really watched the Godfather and his other 'gangster' movies all too much. But he is amazing in Heat and Scent of a Woman. He makes Simone pretty good, Devil's Advocate watchable and let's not forget Angels in America.

Hmm, I've seen exactly none of those movies.

of all-time? robert deniro. even though recently his pick of roles has been pretty damn terrible, i cant ignore a fantastic past.

but i would like to add that clive owen is currently the actor who i think has the potential to eventually be listed in the top 10 when his career is said and done.

You guys naming actors like Tom Cruise need to watch some older movies once in a while.

Oh, and I can't believe nobody has mentioned Robert Redford yet. He's definitely better than Tom Cruise...

personally i dont think clive owen has the versatility of some of the better actors of his generation like Norton, DiCaprio or even Brad Pitt
