A-Ha---Take on Me
Journey--Stone In Love
Huey Lewis & the News--I want a new drug
Peter Schiling---Major Tom
U2---Anything from Joshua Tree
Bob Segar --? Silver Bullet? Can't ever remember that song's name
Madonna-Live to Tell
Tears for Fears --Shout

I guess if I'd have to pick a fave though it'd be Journey--Stone In Love

Oh don't get me wrong,I thought Sammy Hagar was really good with them and that 5150 album was great but you just cant beat the original VH with Dave as the front man,in my opinion.

I have a two way tie.

Heuy Lewis : Hip to Be Square
Motley Crew : GIRLS GIRLS GIRLS!

Cherry Pie by Warrant takes a close third, and some of the stuff that Michael Jackson and Madonna did was great too. I am old enough to remember when Thriller was HUGE, and everyone was buying red leather coats, and that was pretty awesome too. the Thriller video should be required watching on Halloween. Queen made some simply amazing music too.

As far as pure musical creativity and talent goes, Queen has to be the best of the 80's, probably 70's too.

I really like TFF too.
Fra Lippo Lippi made the best 80s pop songs, IMHO.

Martin Stephenson is also goodddd. Too bad my xGF took all his CDs. 🙁

<< Men Without Hats - Safety Dance >>

(owwwwww! The saftey dahnce!)

Bruce Springsteen's Pink Cadillac

Some folks say it's too big..
Uses too much gas
Some folks say it's too old..
My love is bigger than a Honda
It's bigger than a Subaru

🙂

KISS - Rock and Roll All Night
Cheap Trick - That 70's Song
Cheap Trick - Cleveland Rocks
Queen - Bohemian Raspb.....(sp?)
Queen - Love of My Life
Queen - Sombody To Love
Prince - Kiss
Prince - Little Red Corvette
Billy Idol - White Wedding

Damn.

I forgot all about Prince. that purple rain album was amazing. His crap a couple of albums later was just that. But Purple Rain----especially given the other music around when it came out, was.....unbelievable. I remember I hated it at first. And then I listened to it again, and again and again.

Put purple Rain, up there with my list @ the top.

I'm going to make another post......favorite 80's song---One Hit Wonder
