My favorite band (of all time) is Depeche Mode ... just check my homepage link and you'll see...

Plus i still love Tears for Fears, Erasure, Duran Duran, Bryan Adams, Belinda Carlisle, The Go-gos.

A few of my favorites:

Earth, Wind and Fire -- although they are more 70s than 80s.
B-52s -- their old 80s stuff. Not so much their 90s stuff.
Rick Springfield -- Remember Jessie's Girl?
Queen -- Need I say more?

Anthrax, Exodus, Testament, Possessed, Napalm Death, Venom, Suicidal Tendencies, Black Flag, Circle Jerks, Angry Samoans, Misfits, Death, DRI. Stuff like that.

Good list minus Metallica & Slayer.

Add KMFDM, Sister Machine Gun, Thrill Kill Kult, Dead Kennedys, Sepultura, and Prong

Great List!

except that you both forgot Nuclear Assault, Flotsam & Jetsam (just released new album last year) and Deliverance (Christian Metal) and the best metal band of the 80s - Iron Maiden.

Modern Talking, Joy, Ken Lazlo for you Europop fans.

Isn't it "modern english"?
I think he's talking about the Eurodance group Modern Talking. You know, the two German guys with the really high pitch voice.

Yeah Modern Talking from Germany. They sing Brother Louie, You can win if you want, Just we two, etc.

Hate to admit it but I have all their albums.

Ohhhh yeah. I've heard you can win if you want, before. But it was remixed by another german industrial band.

Just we two
Mona Lisa - breaks my heart

add me to that list too...first listened to them when i was 8 during a trip to switzerland.....the first song i listened to was i think S.O.S for love....instantly hooked to their album after i bought it, that music was totally different from what i heard here. i have a couple of german friends who tell me that it is cool to hate modern talking in germany....i personally think they rocked...they had great melodies and and also their unconventional trademark falsetto for each and every song in their whole catalogue!!!, their lyrics fit their melodies very well.

I only listened to Right Said Fred, every day, all day..... They are soooo deep most people just don't understand them, it's all a metaphor for post modern epicurian beliefs.

Don't need to say anything about Queen, they just rock. Not much of a fallowing in America, but I have talked with people from Aust., GB, and they say Queen is as Big as the Beatles.

My Fav. band of ALL TIME Queen
