Faulty RAM

Whoops, got a little excited there.

Aside from manufacturers defects, is there anything that could cause RAM to go bad? Especially after initially being ok?

No attempts to overclock, nothing of that sort, just run-of-the-mill usage.

Ever encountered Dust causing a bad connection and therefore things like data corruption, bad loads, etc?
