Well oned dude i heard got his account hacked into, and some had their PM's read cuz of gossip... from what i've heard that is... dont take mah word for it.

I won't jump to conclusion since I do not have the facts of the matter. However, knowing the nature of the owner of the site and those who moderated it, it took its turn and I chose not to be a part of a system that in theory was great but was practically inconsistent. I always said that as much as a small community is beneficial in getting to know people and closer, it also breeds gossips and becomes tyranny of the minority led by gossips.

I hope they resolve whatever matter it is, but it does not surprise me at all if it is true.

i hate it when people get all anal over things that can be simply ignored such as someone harrasing them on aim, PM's, and ads on anandtech...

he's not trolling, its basically the truth. it's not posted anywhere because whenever something is started to discuss it posts are deleted and threads are locked. The mods are in cahoots with some of the individuals involved.

apparently a member exploited a bug in their software and was able to log in as another user. he then downloaded that person's private messages. apparently when that user complained it took over 2 weeks to get him banned, despite apparrent proof by third parties of his doings.

there's a huge "clique" over there where life consuming gossip is the highlight of their days.

I've left that place for good. mods here may be dickheads sometimes, but ive never seen the disgusting favoritism and/or vengeance taken out through locks/post deletions that what went on over there.
