How exactly is it evil? The Koran also calls for terrorism.

YUSUFALI: Remember thy Lord inspired the angels (with the message): “I am with you: give firmness to the Believers: I will instil terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers: smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off them.”

Then the Jihad Hadiths

Allah’s Apostle said, “I have been sent with the shortest expressions bearing the widest meanings, and I have been made victorious with terror (cast in the hearts of the enemy), and while I was sleeping, the keys of the treasures of the world were brought to me and put in my hand.” Abu Huraira added: Allah’s Apostle has left the world and now you, people, are bringing out those treasures (i.e. the Prophet did not benefit by them).

I'm confused - and for some reason I think others will be too.

It's a start. Need more good men like him.

While nice PR - Fatwa's like this have been issued since forever. And the other way too. Fatwa's against Fatwa's. Means little and of course 99% of Muslims don't even need such Fatwa's to be normal law abiding citizens.

But these are totally laughed at by Jihadists and either ignored or outright murdered for being apostates. Hundreds of Imam's have been killed just in Iraq for calling for peace.

If one of the four main schools for Islamic Jurisprudence say terror is evil I'll start having faith in a violent free foward.

How does your quran quote have anything to do with terrorism, let alone CALLING for terrorism? Your quote specifically states that the lord is talking to the angels(not humans), and that he says he will put fear (terror) in the hearts of the unbelievers. If you know the history of this quote, it was before the battle of badr where muslims believe that angels came and fought along side the muslims against the meccans. God is directly telling the angels to fight the unbelievers by " smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off them.”

As for your Hadith, Mohammad did succeed in many ways because enemy tribes were too scared to attack him. I guess I can see an elastic interpretation that implies that terror makes you victorious thus one should engage in terrorism.

No our interpretation doesn't matter. Extremists will continue to do what they want regardless of the interpretation. However, you saying that the quran calls for terrorism under the quote you supplied is false. I have never read that a suicide bomber blew themselves up because of this verse(especially because the verse is only talking to the angels), but I could be wrong.

Eh,
the god hates fags guys reads the same book all the other Christians do and that doesn't stop him from doing what he's doing and vice versa. Nutjobs will find excuse to go nuts, regardless of what the text sayd.

The bible says to stone kids that curse their parents, but i haven't heard of that happening too often...
