?????????? Who wears tight fitting jeans these days?

All self respecting, fashion concious, wana be gangster wear over size pants.

Everyone knows this.

Yeah....It's even harder for me trying to find long jeans etc, I can almost guarantee that... 36" length, maybe 38" soon....

The only store that has clothes that fit me nowadays is H&M. I guess people are thinner in Europe.

A few years ago, I had a thread on fatties shopping at the mall. I'd repost here but the fucking search doesnt work and I lost all my bookmarks when we changed forums.

Anyway, it seems to me that at my local walmart, target and mall department stores, 32 waist is the easiest size to find.
I guess we either dont have many fatties and lots of skinnies, OR, they keep plenty of skinny jeans in stock even though there isnt much of a market for them.

I be wearin 36-36, those are quite difficult to find 🙁. I'm like 6'7" 220. And I might even start buying 36-38.

36 = fatty? (assuming 6' tall)

36 becomes "ideal" when you're taller than 6'4". The average american man is 5'10" which puts ideal at 32, give or take.

Since 32 is ideal, you'd assume that would be in the middle of sizes at the store, right? Not even close. If you're a normal human being a 32 inch waist (give or take), finding pants of the correct size is hard.

I can sympathize with you. I'm 6' tall and try to find 29"X32" pants. I don't think I've ever found a pair that size, so I go with 30"X32", which are still very rare, and a belt.

Fuck it, I found the text on Google but the page was a mess. Easier to just copy and past. I made this in the summer of 2007, I think.

Petite means small.
It does not mean short.
If you're 5'3" and weigh 200 pounds thats your fault. Not the sales girls'. Please dont harass her for 20 minutes because none of the clothes labeled "petite" will fit your fat ass!

To continue:
You are not kewl, badd or tuff simply because you can spend 20 minutes degrading a poor woman whose only sin is she doesnt use Ben & Jerry to solve all her problems.
That woman makes minimum wage or slightly above and has to spend all day watching piggies try on clothes when she should be directing them to the tent department.

Furthermore:
Believe it or not, she also sees more than just one customer a day. Some of them are not able to piss away 20 minutes for each and every store they visit. The salesgirl also has a sworn duty to provide prompt and swift service to every customer that walks through the doors. It is not her sworn duty to "check the back" for every little fantastic whim your damaged brain can come up with. If it doesnt fit your fat ass in yellow, it certainly wont fit in green, blue or red.

END RANT.

Indeed. Ideal means you're in shape. Average means you're obese.

For reference, a 31.5 inch waist looks like this:

I can't seem to find a picture of a 36 or 38 waist. Most of them are on weight loss sites with extremely low quality (so you can't tell the before and after are actually 2 different people).
it's walmart. they cater to average.

if the OP was at a real clothing store, they'd likely have found the situation reversed. feels like I have to dig around even for a 34 (though a lot of times I end up needing a belted up 36 because my calves are huge and I hate tight clothing)

Yeah, it's a bitch finding pants right? Lol.

I don't have too much trouble, but I'm not picky about the way my clothes fit. All I require is room, so I'll buy something too big if I have to. I'd rather wear clothes 2 sizes too big than 1 size too small. My biggest problem is my arm length. I have to buy my shirts huge to get the arm length right. It's not a huge deal based on the above, but sometimes the body length is way long, but the sleeves JUST fit :^D

Yeah, but real clothing stores don't have work clothes... which is what I needed. I didn't need a $100 pair of designer jeans to keep for several years and wear on casual day to the office, I needed jeans I could get dirty replacing a transmission in a Mercedes E class. 🙂
