I just figured out today what sous-vide is, how to cook a rare steak with a caramelized exterior. If I didn't abhor the thought of plastic touching what I eat, that blood you imagine would soon be very real. I'm thinking a glass syringe type thingi I could stuff a steak into and squeeze out all the air
 
Bought a side of meat and split it with people, came out to 5.30 a lb for every cut of meat. Not the cheapest price for ground meat when it's on sale but much cheaper than the good cuts. That also up here in Canada where meat is way more expensive, will always buy a side of beef from now on.
