To the posters who say that LSD changed them for the better, can you explain how it changed you for the better? I'd be interested to know.

Its like putting on a pair of reading glasses. Things are clearer.

After you trip the fog of life is thinner, but as mentioned, if your life sucks in the real world it only helps you see it suck.

And it very easy to have a bad trip, very easy. So dont chance it.

Bad trips are when you learn the most about yourself.

i always liked falling asleep while tripping. Well, not really falling asleep, but kinda going into some weird state of sleep-ish and just wander my mind.

eh, I liked Ketamine for that.

Could fall asleep and trip and it was really comfortable.

BTW, mods missing tonite, these threads usually end fairly quickly.

You can criticize. I was young and stupid, and today I'm the first one to criticize drug dealers.

I wasn't, it sounds like your a better person for the experience though...

Personally, LSD gave me a sense of being. I was never a religious person, I never had anything to believe in. LSD made everything relative, gave me the feeling I was right where I need to be in the world. I felt connected with nature, and ever since I have taken a much more relaxed view of everyday life. I can't even tell you the last time something really upset me. It just gave me a beautiful peaceful view of the universe and life, helped me forget about the small things that can get to you if you only think day to day.

Oh and if the mods roll by this thread. By LSD, we mean, Little Sugared Doughnuts. Which, are very tastey.

wow, interesting.

Interesting reading what you guys have experienced.

I've avoided drugs my entire life, but i still like to hear what others have experienced...

Maybe the mods are tripping to celebrate? 😀

Never tried the stuff. Only drug I've used was marijuana. Hell I never even drank. Dont plan on trying LSD or drinking. And marijuana is just an occasional every few months thing.

one night I Candy Flipped.

LSD+X.

We smoked pot all night then a friend showed up w/ Whippits.

I felt my head lift off my shoulders and bounce against the ceiling. God knows how many brain cells it took to make me imagine and feel it.

Just Say No.

There is a difference between junkies who will do anything to escape reality and mature responsible people trying to see every angle in our relativley short lives. People who choose to try an addicting drug, including smoking, should be and are forced to suffer for their mistakes. Any person who is without a sound body and mind has no place trying mind altering drugs... but that doesn't mean its a bad thing for all people. Lies and propaganda have shielded the truth about drugs. Show me science, not lies.

I tried it once when I was 18 the day after graduating high school in 93 and it was one of the worst experiences in my life yet im glad I did it. I had wrote a paper on it my senior year and I had some friends that were experienced with it so with the knowledge and curiosity I had, I decided I wanted to try it just once

The first couple hours made me see the way things really are about myself and those around me and just life in general, no visual effects or anything and unless you have done it before its hard to understand.

Then I started to get depressed and that started my downward spiral. It felt that I would be stuck in this state forever and the effects kept getting stronger.I was just powerless.
I went home against the advice of my friends, Its about 1 :00am now and I go to my room lock the door and turn on the tv.This is when the visuals effects really started hitting me. I remember there was a 3 stooges marathon on and as I sat there it looked like it was in 3d and when I moved my head the light would streak off the screen like the picture was jumping out. I started sweating and felt really sick and thirsty so I got some water but just bringing it to my lips made me even sicker and I couldnt do it.
I could hear my heartbeat pulsing in my ears and just paced back and forth. I tried laying down but when I closed my eyes it was like walking through the gates of hell, way too much stuff I didnt want to see.

I ended up laying in my bed for the entire next day in terror ,my body was completely exhausted but my mind was going full speed.
I was messed up mentally for about a week.
Im still not sure why I had such a bad trip.

Me and a bunch of friends tripped one night. There was 13 of us total in a town of about 1200. It was so ****** surreal. Everyone except us trippers were asleep. We didnt all hang out, it was weird, we went and di our own thing in little groups and would run into each other.
2 or 3 of us would be walking around, and we'd run into another group of 2 or 3, so we'd wander around, then a couple would split up to go back to someones house, it was just weird. You knew everyone you met was just as out there as you. Awesome.
Later on i went and watched the stars. It was...amazing. You could see little sparkling blue lines connecting all the stars into one big string pattern of mind blowing beauty. It was just unbelievable.

Then we went to the lake. Got pulled over by the cops, freaked out, hauled ass back to town, my firned crapped out the side of the pickup going down the road, went back to his house and smoked a bunch of pot laughing.

Ignorance is bliss, and it gets rid of the ignorance. So if you can't handle the real world it could make your life suck when you realize how crappy things really are.

I don't recommend it to anyone.

Blue pill, Red pill, how about no pills and you leave sh!t alone?

can you be more specific?

My first one was somewhat similar... It's because people seem to act like an acid trip is only 6-10 hours or so.. For me, it was closer to 20... 20 hours of being completely unable to sleep, just waiting for the effects to go away.. For a long time, I kept thinking the effects would last forever.. but then they eventually wore off.

I took a smaller dose the 2nd time I tripped and I would say it was one of the best days of my life.. I knew what to expect and I knew that it would last a long time.

It really needs to be understood better, imo. And, people that have never tripped can never possibly understand it. I could explain it a million ways...

This is a SHORT story I was told about some "friends" and LSD, from back in the 80's in a small university town.

This guy's "friends" came by his dorm room before they had a BBall game, put a hit of liquid in his drink, WITHOUT telling him. He had never done it before. They left, went to their basketball game. They came back five hours later, to his dorm room, found him going nutzo, staring at his microwave and scared, freekin' out. He was never the same man mentally. Died two years later of a brain hemerage.

well... you can od

False, you can't OD on LSD.

Most of what "LSD" is accepted as today, "acid," as made from rat poison, and yes you CAN OD on that.

Just to make this clear. You still can't OD on LSD. 😉 However, you are right, you'd better know who your dealing with nowerdays.

acid sold on the streets today can infact be stuff thats not LSD.... like here in ohio, i have a friend who he and his friends go up to canada, buys a bunch, and then they help sell it around here.
people that say acid eats your brain, are peole that have researched the effects of the 'acid' being sold on the streets, no lsd.... i was confused my first time when i saw that lsd really is safe

aye. Twas an "interesting" expierence. Certainly makes you look at life totally different.

Must say I was happy I was with expierenced people who made my enviroment right for what I was doing.

X is more fun though. You can be with people you know absolutley nothing about, and by the end of the night, you all are best friends.

A few of my friends work here. My friend Val and here boss are at that Swiss conference. Needless to say, I've had my share of experiences.

Also, if you are interested in experimenting in anything psychedelic go to erowid. Look up the drug and find out all the issues surrounding its use and abuse. It has the most accurate information on the net.

Basically, psychedelics (first Psilocybin and then LSD) represented an entire approach to psychotherapy during the late 1950's and early 1960's. This branch of therapy was forced underground not because of any lack of benefit or danger to patients, but because of the counterculture and assholes like Timothy Leary. In the thousands of studies performed on it, LSD has been shown to significantly help with the treatment of post-traumatic stress syndrome, obsessive compulsive dissorder, and many forms of addiction. MDMA (ecstasy) is considered to be even more promising. The most common treatment regime for psychedelics calls for a single dose while under observation, preceded and followed by several counseling sessions. As of today, psychedelics are THE ONLY pharmaceutical family that can successfully CURE the conditions I listed. Any drug prescribed for them today only manage their symptoms. If you are interested in this research, go to the first link, maps.org.

It's funny that the people who live with the most unhealthy (drug) habits live so long. 😛
There is no know negative physical side effect to LSD, oh ignorant one. (Now watch the bombastic anti-drug hysteria that will surely follow).

Um.. LSD isn't marijuana. It physically affects your brain.
