It begs the question...

If a schizo chains himself to a tree in the forest... :D

Obviously the answer was "it doesn't make a sound."

Read the article, he didn't go there to save the tree, he went there to kill himself.

Are we reading the same story? It never mentions anywhere that he was a tree hugging hippie. He was a schizo who committed suicide... If you guys feel happy about that you must be some seriously sick fvcks

I don't think Darwinism covers suicides. He was a disturbed person who killed himself, that's a lot different from dying through stupidity.

agreed. a sickness is a sickness. schizophrenia is not really something to joke about.

But I feel no emotion from these articles.

Where there is an article of one person dying, there are countless deaths unreported.

Man, even with schizophrenia you'd think he could have found an easier way to kill himself... dying of exposure/starvation/dehydration and being chained to a tree is such a horrible way to go. Why not jump off a tall building, or drown yourself, or run your car in a closed garage?

because schizophrenia works in mysterious ways. some people hear god talking to them, others think george bush is in their back pocket. his schizophrenia obviously had him clinging onto trees. it's one of the reasons why schizophrenia is still a very much studied mental illness.

here's to hoping none of you ever go missing for three years and then found dead. There sincerely must be better ways to go. =\
