Fatal1ty...wtf???

How do you say this, Fatal-one-T-Y? Even if you're supposed to just say Fatalty, I'd have to say this is the PEAK of companies naming their products really stupid things.

Honestly, I thought X800 XT PE was bad. This is just...silly.

Fatal1ty is the handle of a top gamer whom Abit has partnered with. The Fatal1ty line of products is like Tony Hawk skateboards, Michael Jordan jerseys, etc...

Ahh, okay. Well now that I see a reason for it it doesn't make me mad anymore lol.

So how'd that guy get so lucky?

His gaming skills are legendary. He participates in tournaments where if you beat him or last a certain amount of time you get large sums of money. I don't think promoters would bet on a losing horse willingly. 🙂

Yea, he makes like more than $100k/year in tournament winings alone, not to mention his sponsorships (like this one). For GAMING! He has mad skillz in way more than just UT too.

...ahh, ...never mind. 😉

Hence my hesitation. The board name is obviously aimed at the younger user where a more straightforward naming approach would be "Got Cooze!" 🙂

I was wondering why the nForce 4 Ultra "Fatal1ty" board is supposed to be $300 and not sport the NF4 SLI chipset...waste of money.

the Fatal1ty AN8, based on the same nF4 ultra chipset, but geared toward top gaming with a price of over $300; and, an AN8 SLI. The only board at CES was the Fatal1ty AN8. Abit tells us that the SLI version is slated for later this year.

300 bones and you aren't even guaranteed the best...damn.

I don't think I'd really want a motherboard named after a kid. That's like Asus releasing the Archcommus A7N8X.

What's better about it, anyway?
