FastTrack66 to FastTrack100 kept my array!

I went from a FastTrack66 to a FastTrack100, which is onboard with my Asus A7V133. I copied all 34GB of data that was on my 60GB array thinking that all of my data would be destroyed by moving to the newer controller. That took about 3 hours. When I put the disks on the new controller, it recognized the array perfectly on the FastTrack100. I didn't have to do anything. I looked in the BIOS information for the controller and it was in there even though I didn't set the controller up for the drives. I guess the information for the array was stored on the two drives and was compatible with the controller. I copied all of that data for nothing.

Hey, kinda OT but I'm looking into buying a new motehrboard and yours is one of the two I've come down to. How is it? Do you still have to use dipswitches for changing the multiplayer? Got any problems with it at all?

Thanx in advance

I can use the multiplier selections in the BIOS. No problems with it at all. I use to have the A7Pro, so this one is just a tiny step up.

Oh, I forgot to mention that the Promise controller allows you to switch between the Ultra100 and the FastTrack100. I thought that was pretty unique since I've never seen that before.
