Fastest way to get through a border patrol checkpoint

why would they ask for ID at a checkpoint? im half mexican and never get asked for ID down by nogales. usually ill drive up, they check the back seat while im rolling, say hi and wave me through after i say hi back. most of the time its a rolling stop...

I fucking hate people who evangelize in random situations. I know he was joking, but I feel just like that checkpoint guy clearly did every time someone attempts it on me. I instantly want to be anywhere but right there.

Aww, I remember they were going to take my car apart when I crossed the Mexican border at San Diego. If you have a Florida license, plan on being thoroughly searched no matter what border.

I often talk with the evangelists at length. I'm quite friendly yet they never come back. The last time it was an older man and a teenage girl who were trying to explain why evolution is a falsehood. The bible belt is SO different from South Miami.

*shrug* I appreciate the thought. They are just doing it to try and save me from suffering eternal pain and torture and they still try despite all the (likely) negative\hostile reactions they get. So I just politely listen to the first part of their spiel and then politely decline further discussion on the matter. Its only if they get pushy or persistent that I get less polite.

I politely listened to the first few telemarketing calls I got as well. Once I realized that I was never going to be finished with telemarketers and the best thing to do was get rid of them immediately, I stopped being polite. I basically feel the same way about evangelists. They don't feel anything for me and there will never be an end to them. at least not in my lifetime. They're full of a smugness that grows with every person they talk to, regardless of the outcome of the conversation. They do it for themselves only, while using the idea that it's for my benefit to add to the sense of self-righteousness that was all they were after in the first place. They'll take up all your time relaying nonsensical gibberish in the gravest, most self-important tones if you let them. Time is all you really have on this earth. Why spend one moment more of it on that shit than you have to?

I guess we'll have to chalk this one up to differences in location\attitude because very very few of the ones who come to my door are anything like that
