I have yet to find anything faster than a R2 Underground Racing Lambo..want to find some videos of some cars even close to this. Find me some!

underground had a bunch of cars on pass time... I was none too impressed by what I saw there. granted, not sure how hard I would push my heavily modified lambo for a TV show.

I would check out some AMS R33's along with Switzer R33's

Fastest quarter? Best trap speed? Fastest standing mile?

Everything is basically traction limited at the speeds the contenders are in. Fastest street car also really depends on what is street legal where... And the definition of street car (and tire) depends on your point of view.

I believe that would be Larry Larson and his S10 but he doesn't street race AFAIK. Drove it 1000+ miles during Drag Week though which is very impressive for 2500hp.

6.19@219MPH

Can't imagine anything faster and as reliable.

For me, "fastest street car" means "fastest in a drag race"....because that's how the overwhelming majority of street races are done. Yeah, you'll get some high-speed racing on the highway occasionally, but those are basically non-existent (and stupid) compared to racing from stoplight to stoplight.

And curvy road racing really doesn't count or matter, because who can say one car is "the fastest" at running on a nice mountain road? Hard to measure that one like you can acceleration and top speed. Track times are not always relevant on a regular road.

All around speed, mostly a standing mile mixed with roll racing.

Im not sure when you watched the show, but you should really check them out now. The 2R package can push up to 2000hp. Run the half mile at 230+ mph.

I'm sure the cars make TONS of power, but considering how much power they had, they weren't any more impressive than cars with 4-500 hp... on the show.

Like the joke:

what does a 1,000 hp supra have in common with a 300 hp supra?

.

.

.

they both run 13's

While the new 918 is a fantastic car, it would stand no chance against the 2R package!

918 would probably defile it on any track.

Those 2000hp low drag monsters are for drag races only really.

Gotta say tho, the real drag cars are going to whoop the lambos and GT-R's.

What about a Koenigsegg Agera One:1? It is down on HP and may not be quicker to a certain speed but I wonder if it would have a higher maximum speed. Plus its damn sexy.

Yea the 918 would crush it on the track, but not in any other type of speed.

And of course they would crush the lambo's and gtr's but they are also not street legal, and would suck as a a daily driver! lol

I think from the get go, the One would have a higher top speed, but I am sure the gearing for the lambo could be changed to keep up. But the car has proved a lot! Fantastic machine!

I spent a little time searching for some clips from the show. couldn't find one, but did come across a post from a car fourm

"I've lusted after a TT Gallardo for a couple years now and was quite disappointed when the Speed Channel show "Pass Time" did a whole show with nothing but UG vehicles. A dozen or so cars total.

There were more in the 12's than there were 10's. The last car was a TT Gallardo with 1300 AWHP driven by one of Undergorund's owners. He laid down a blistering 11.6x.

All that power was just going up in smoke. Talk about reaching a point of diminishing returns.om a car forum that pretty much summed it up"

that doesn't mean it they weren't capable of more, but 1300 hp @ 11.6 is a bit humorous. My mechanic runs mid 8's with less than half that
