Fastest single-slot no Pci-E 6-pin ATI card?

Okay, me and my boss are going to be swapping Shuttles to cover what he owes me for being a paycheck behind and his Shuttle is the Intel 975x based SD37P2-V2 with Crossfire support so I was wondering what th fastest single-slot ATI card is that doesn't require 6-pin power. Is it the HD 4670?

PowerColor is bringing out a low-power HD5750 that won't require a power connector. No idea if two of those will work when only powered from the mobo and by PCI-e 1.0 at that. The next one would be a HD4670, yes.

Damn, that 5750 is dual-slot 🙁

I already have a single XFX 9800GT EE with reference 9800GT clocks but was hoping for something a little more potent with ATI. I could always go with 2x 4770's or 4850's I guess as the Shuttle PSU did power an 8800GTX without issues while the CPU was OC'd at one point.

The 5670 should be about 25% faster then the 4670. It should be out soon.

If correct, this is kind of disappointing unless the price is well below 100.00. Only 25% faster than a 4670 means it is in the same league as the GT240 DDR5 and the 9800GT low power will probably still beat it. It will have DX11, but I dont know how useful that will be with a low end card like this.

I might just hold onto my 9800GT till the 5670 comes out then. That or I get a single card like a 5770 which I'm already pondering. If 2x 4670's = 1x 4850 ( in Xfire enabled games ), a single 5770 is faster than a 4850 and I don't have to worry with multi GPU issues.

The SD37P2-V2 I'll be getting comes equipped with 4gb DDRII-1066 and a Q6600 G0 that has been taken up to 3.6ghz in the Shuttle so CPU bound I should not be.

I just wish there was a single-slot 5750 or 5770 so I could completely utilize my new toy but I guess I could always trade it off for a mAtx setup.
