Fastest PIII for Soyo 6ba+III?

Anyone know the fastest PIII I can run in a Soyo 6BA+III? I think I can get an 8 or 8.5 multiplier and at 100mhz that should work for an 800 or 850. Not sure where Slot 1 ends though as far as speed.

Also, is running at 133mhz bus ok for bx? I know it is not supported but heard it is stable. Also, Slocket an option?

I'm running PIII-450 now. It is my childrens' machine and I would like to come close to doubling the speed to get another year out of it. Now it seems incredably slow compared to my Athlon 1.2Ghz...big surprize there huh?

Thanks in advance.

Never tried that board, but in general....the multipler on the CPU is locked so it doesn't make a difference if the BIOS can set it. You should be able to use any Coppermine CPU you want. 133 FSB = 89 AGP on a BX board. It depends if you video card will be ok with that. Some are, some are not.

Thanks for the quick response.

Sound like I can run 133 if my video can handle an overclocked agp bus. Any thoughts on a Matrox G400 MAX and how it might handle an OC'd AGP bus?

Thanks again.
