wait for g3? lol - still waitlisted on the engineering samples - good luck getting actual product. When the reviews come in - it will still be a while before sufficient stock to pay MSRP (and not higher) is around to buy.

we're just now getting mediocre discounts on G2 products lol.

so - the results seem to show mad improvement.

for me - having to spend a day reloading all my apps costs more than any desktop you can build.. think about that one.

The G3 also involve a transition to 25nm chips. the 25nm switch would mean 2x the GB per wafer, resuling in the one 25nm fab producing 2x the amount of usable chips as a current 32nm fab.
(if you are curious, costs are also reduced due to less stacking; each of the "chips" is as many as 32 dies of MLC stacked together; typically 4 only)...

This new 25 fab is in addition to exist 32nm fabs, and will produce at least twice as much chips as any 32nm fab. This should further alleviate shortages and allow prices to go down somewhat.

Plans change I had to do HUGE Data Xfer; Had to take out the SSD and install WD Black 750 GiG.
I ran the test it appears fairly slow in the test. However I didn't felt much any slower then SSD.
Off course Boot time was like this; by the time CRT screen show and pic I was already in desk top screen.
Now I can see litle bar moving in XP splash screen and it is loging in.
Here are the benchmark off WD Black 750
